Appendable isn't listed in All Implemented Interfaces of the StringBuffer and StringBuilder API doc. And these classes aren't listed in All Known Implementing Classes of the Appendable API doc. The Appendable methods in StringBuffer/StringBuilder have the reference to Appendable, though.
