While running the iftw for the j2sdk on 1.4.2_04-b04, the wrong base image is installed. I installed J2sdk1.4.2_03-b02 and the base images in the Common Files dir are j2sdk1.4.2-b28 and j2re1.4.2-b28. Running an IFTW of 1.4.2_04-b04 leaves both these base images in the common files dir, but also installs a j2sdk1.4.2_04-b04 directory at the same level. From what I understand of iftw, this should not occur.
The zip files I used for setting up the apache server ( a dummy java.sun.com) were
/net/koori.sfbay/p/v10/jdk/1.4.2_04/fcs/b04/bundles/windows-i586/j2re-1_4_2_04-windows-i586-p.zip
/net/koori.sfbay/p/v10/jdk/1.4.2_04/fcs/b04/bundles/windows-i586/j2sdk-1_4_2_04-windows-i586-p.zip
I extracted these files to
$APACHE_ROOT/htdocs/webapps/download/GetFile/1.4.2_04-b04/windows-i586
and ran the j2sdk iftw.exe from here.
I also tested a similar setup with an update from j2sdk1.4.2_02-b03 to j2sdk1.4.2_03-b03.
This worked as expected without errors. (leaving only jre-b28 and jdk-b28 in base image dir)
Only the j2sdk-iftw.exe shows this fault.
Updating the j2re with the j2re-iftw.exe works fine and leaves only one base image (b28).
This perhaps is a build problem.
