Steps to reproduce:
 Please find the below jpeg images attached to demostrate & to help in reproducing this problem.
 ->Backspacekey_delprob.jpeg file = demostrates the deletion prob for 3 characters that were each input using single
     keystrokes.
 ->Input_help.jpeg file = help showing the keystrokes to input those characters for which the problems were demostrated in
     the above jpeg file.

1.Use win/sol platform. Set the system locale to hindi.
2. Run the following command to executing the text-editing component - JEditorPanel using testsuite
  sh run_gs.sh -jdk:<java-home path> > ../../src/GS/LigatureTest/JEditorPaneLTest1.java
  or
  go to <jdkhome>/demo/jfc/Stylepad/ and execute java -jar Stylepad.jar
3. To input hindi char : Please refer the Input_help.jpeg image file attached & enter those hindi charcs.
4. Then try deleting each of these 3 chars with Backspace key. Each char entered were expected to be deleted with one
   backsapce-key stroke. But observe the problem-needs three deletions.

 Other related testing:
-Tested & reproduced with Notepad , Stylepad & JTable demo under SwingSet2, which are all found under demo directory of j2sdk1.5.0
-Tested & reproduced with jdk1.4.2 release using both demo files & with test suite also.

One more observation:
Tested with Notepad on XP2000Prof for the same i.e on win XP-pro platform (enter the same i/p using notepad under startmenu->programs->accessories->notepad) . Found the same status there . For this particular case even though this is not a java component the problem was noticed here too.
