solaris_9
Platform: Solaris sparc/ Solaris x86
Window manager: GNOME Desktop only- not CDE
Tested build: j2re/j2sdk 1.5-b41
Steps to reproduce:
------------------
1) Install j2re1.5 or j2sdk1.5 b41 into the test system
(or you can launch the Java Control Panel directly from the binaries
location)
2) Bring up Java Control Panel
3) Go to "Advanced" tab
4) Expand any node from Settings tree
ex: expand "Java console" and then select "Hide console" or any other option
from there
5) After selecting the option, user can not read the text of the selected option. On Gnome solaris-sparc/solaris x86 the color of selected text option (black/dark) is the same as the background color of the JCP window. It makes it so difficult to read if possible at all.
This problem does not occur on Solaris sparc/ solaris x86 on CDE
or windows/linux platforms. On these platforms, the text of selected option turns white so it is clearly visible from the dark background.
