Tested_Java_Release : 1.5.0-b99/1.5.0-beta2-b41
Tested_bundles_Location :
PIT bundles :/java/j2se-sqe/deployment3/tiger/PIT_builds/JD-PIT-22/
promoted builds: /net/koori.sfbay/p/jdk07/jdk/1.5.0/beta2/b41/bundles
Tested_Machine_Name : dnm-011/jitender
Tested O/S : winxp/win2k
Problem Description :
Plugin trace(plugin.trace) and logs are not getting generated inside the <user_deploymet_home>/log directory even the relevant properties deployment.trace and deployment.log are set to true inside the deployment.properties file. The problem is seen only in case of applets while javaws applications are working fine generating both trace and logs inside the <user_deploymet_home>/log .
It's working fine with promoted b-41
Steps to reproduce
1) install the jre( PIT bundles) from the location mentioned above
2) Invoke Java Control Panel abd click on Advanced > Debugging > Enable tracing and Enable logging > OK
3) register the browser on unix platforms with proper jre
4) Invoke the following applet inside the browser
http://sqeweb.sfbay.sun.com/deployment1/deployment_tiger_exec_ws/deployment/tests/BATTestsuite/pluginhtml-default/MimeType_150.html
5) Make sure that trace is getting thrown on the Java console
6) Close the browser and check whether plugin150.trace and plugin150.log are getting generated inside the <user_deploymet_home>/log
If not then the bug is reproduced
