I tested the sample webpad.jnlp application from j2sdk1.5.0/sample/jnlp/webpad on Windows 98/Win 2000 prof/Win xp home and Sparc Solaris 9. Came across a couple of functionalities that were missing:
1) When the webpad.jnlp application is loaded for the 2nd time, it reports an error as show below and is not loaded. The application cache has to be cleared, in order to get it loaded again.

2) When Clicked on Open/Save/Save As/Cut/Copy/Paste, etc., a small closed window/dialog box appears behind the security advisory.
3) Tool-tip/help for the last performed operation is being displayed in the status bar even after the operation is completed
4) No option for new file creation under file menu
5) The name of the file currently opened is not displayed in the title bar
6) The size of the file differs when the same content is saved using windows notepad
7) When the content of the currently opened file is modified, and the application is closed, it does NOT prompt for save option
8) No ERROR reported when tried to save on a CD drive or floppy drive without the media being in it
9) When the content of the file saved using webpad is viewed using Windows notepad, the new line character does not produce the lines on new lines
10) When clicked on print, the application displays the security advisory for PRINT twice with the same message on it
11) A lengthy line (e.g length greater than 200 characters) without any line break is not getting printed completely on the printer
