For years I've been working around the fact that when I run java_g.exe on a Windows machine, that machine needs to have msvcrtd.dll installed (the debug version of msvcrt.dll). If it's not a dev machine, I'll go grab a copy somewhere
and copy it into the Windows\system32 directory and away I go.
