JFileChooser in details view shows the icons in the left when the orientation is right to left. In list view, it shows the icons correctly on the right.

Reproducible on all platforms with tiger b48.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Run the attached code.
2. Switch to details view.

See that the file / folder icons are displayed on the left side.
