It was originally believed to have
crashed in
  ExceptionMark::ExceptionMark(). It expect
  that there is not pending exception when
  construct a exceptionMark.

1.3.1_11 was tried and still crashed.

There is an in house test case at

/net/mainstream.red.iplanet.com/export/shanker/IAS65SP1/ias

we did a run with a fast debug build and it currently is the JVM installed in
the jvm args can be seen in /export/shanker/IAS65SP1/ias/env/iasenv.ksh

the jdk used : /export/shanker/IAS65SP1/ias/usr/java which is linked to /export/shanker/jdk131-11/j2sdk1_3_1_11

fast debug libjvm.so is in :
/export/shanker/jdk131-11/j2sdk1_3_1_11/jre/lib/sparc/server/libjvm.so

core.3202.1084828166 is the fast debug core
core.3131.1083709914 is a 1.3.1_11 regular JVM core file run
