FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.4.2"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2-b28)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-b28, mixed mode)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The left edge of the content of the File Name field in the JFileChooser dialog is several pixels to the right of the content of the Files of Type field. This does not look good. Furthermore, there is so much space before the first character of the File Name field that one of our users thought that there was an extraneous space character before the file name.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Run the FileChooserDemo application that ships with the JDK.
Select the Windows LAF.
Select the Show File Chooser button.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
