A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
For a description of the problem and the currently implemented fix, see bug #4401846. I suggest a different fix that works without user intervention. Beginning with fvwm-2.5.11 (which is not yet released as I write this), fvwm will detect ICCCM2 compliant window movement by looking for certain EWMH hints on the window. In short, if the _NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE (a documented window type) or the _NET_WM_PID (pid of the process owning the window) atom is set on a window, fvwm assumes it behaves ICCCM2 compliant.

In the default config, fvwm will then detect such windows automatically without any action by the application programmer, the user or the fvwm administrator. However, this will *not* work if the _JAVA_AWT_WM_STATIC_GRAVITY environment variable is set!

      JUSTIFICATION :
      See bug #4401846
