A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
It would be great if the JScrollPane would allow for the splitting of the view into multiple independent areas for scrolling.
JUSTIFICATION :
This is commonly may be done in large tables, text documents, or graphics areas, where the areas of interest may not be contiguous in the single display area.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
For example, in editing a large document, you may want to see the a constructor or declaration of a class, and further down how a method is implemented. A splittable scroll pain would accomplish this by allowing the user to place a split bar in the middle of the scroll pain and scroll the top and bottom portioins independently. Any number of split bars should be positionable within the component area.
ACTUAL -
No splitting of the scroll area is supported.
