Steps to reproduce:
1) Install JDK 1.4.2_05(with JRE)
2) Install Tiger JDK(With JRE) B57
3) Check value of Registry Value Data "Frequency" in
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Update\Policy" registry key
value it shows is: 17367040 (decimal)
4) Now uninstall 1.4.2_05(With JRE) and see the above value
it remain unchanged i.e 17367040 (decimal)
While if no JDK/JRE is installed on system and directly
tiger B57 JDK(With JRE) is installed than the
"Frequency" value is 127 (decimal)
So installation of tiger should override this value to
the one which tiger product need or tiger installer sets
originally.
Because of this strange behaviour FAIT tests which
1st install 1.4.2_05 and than install 1.5.0 and than
go and verify registry are failing as they expect this
value to be equivalent to what 1.5.0 installer sets when
there is no jdk/jre on system.
