The jstat and jps tools do not work as expected when monitoring older
releases. The jps tool lists the monitorable 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 target JVMs,
but outputs "Unknown" for the main class name. The jstat tool successfully
connects to the 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 targets, but outputs a number of unexpected
"Warning: Unresolved Symbol" messages.
