Problem details:

Crash is seen intermittently, but fairly regularly (it occurred twice in the last week).

The system is a large scale production system, so a testcase is not feasible.

The latest J2SE Patch Cluster was installed very recently, but this did not resolve the problem.

The crash looks very similar to that shown in Sunbug 4645614, but as we understand it that bug was identified and fixed in 1.3.1_04. Based on the workaround information in 4645614 and 4546307, we are currently working to identify a method for exclusion from compilation which may allow the customer to work around this problem in the short term.
