JDK-2151156 | 5.0u14 | Kannan Balasubramanian | P4 | Closed | Won't Fix |
Pressing 'ESC' on a cross-platform print dialog should actually dispose the dialog (must perform the action equivalent to 'cancel' button). But when I keep the focus in 'copies' field / 'to' field / 'from' field / 'username' field, pressing 'ESC' does not have any effect on the print dialog. But it works fine when the focus is in any other field. This functionality should work regardless of where the focus is.
This is reproducible on tiger-beta build (b32d) on all platforms. This feature was not available in previous releases/ Tiger-b09.
I have attached a sample test. Execute the sample test. You would get a print dialog. Press 'tab' and keep the focus in 'copies' field. Press 'ESC'. If the dialog is not disposed, the bug is reproduced.
