Spacing in jre/README collapses to make formatting unreadable in Internet Explorer

We notice an issue with 1.5 documentation:
The README file for J2SE 5.0 JRE

        http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/jre/README

does not have the file type and the page does not always dislay in proper format for IE users (specially for XP - sp2)

Since the file does not include the file type, IE users (specially for window XP - sp2) will not see the file in a nice format at all at the first time.
Virtually all extra white space is removed from line endings,
indents and blank lines so all the text runs together.

They have to reload the page the second time (at least) in order to see the correct format page. The worst case is sometimes they never see it at all. There is no problem for NS/MZ users.

Why should we leave out the file type for this particular file?
