Reproduce Steps:
1. On Cinnabar20 for Linux, JRE1.5.0_01-ea-b03, mozilla1.7(2004/10/04), english local.
2. Launching an applet that have textfield,such as http://baseman.prc.sun.com/Basicfunction/localization/InputChinese/InputChinese.html
3. Put the focus into textfield and press "Ctrl+Space", the input method can not switch to "Latin". But if open an text editor such as gedit and press "Ctrl+Space", the input method can switch to "Latin"

Appears to be an applet intenrationalization problem in the JRE being used by Mozilla but the issue also happens on Linux. Reassigning to the Java Team for further investigation. I've attached contents of about: and about:plugins from Mozilla so that java team will be able to replicate the configuration.
