Cursor changes to Resize cursor on multi-mon-sol for JFrame when it is dragged

XMLWordPrintable

I am creating a JFrame with defaultLookAndFeelDecorated set to true. I see custom decorations on the title bar of the frame. I am running this on soalris with a multi-monitor setup having 2 independent screens. I am clicking the title bar of the frame and dragging towards left (frame is currently located on the right monitor - Mon2). I drag the mouse to the leftmost periphery of mon1 and release it. I am bringing back the mouse to Mon2 where the frame is located. After this when I move the mouse over the frame, I could see one of the resize cursors being set for the frame.

This is reproducible on Solaris9 (CDE) with Tiger as well as Mustang. This is not reproducible on win32 and when custom decorations are off.

I have attached a sample test. Execute it on the right monitor. As soon as the JFrame comes up, click on the title bar and drag it towards the left monitor. Keep dragging until you reach the left end of leftmost monitor and release the mouse. Now move the mouse over the JFrame on mon2 and you would see the resize cursor.
