Goto http://java.sun.com/.
Click on the Reference link (on the left a few links below James) -> http://java.sun.com/reference/index.html

Now, click on API Specifications on the left ->
http://java.sun.com/reference/api/index.html

Now, click on J2SE 1.4.2 ->
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/

Now, click on J2SE v1.4.2 API Specification ->
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/index.html

Repeat the last step until you get to API spec :-)

Click on API & Language in the navigation bar at the top ->
