On Solaris Java2D uses DGA functionality on some video cards. This breaks Gnopernicus magnification in Solaris 10. One can disable this with the environment variable setting "NO_J2D_DGA=true", but this is very unfriendly. As we have already defined the "screen_magnifier_present" flag in the accessibility.properties file (see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/guide/access/properties.html) for use on MS-Windows with things like the ZoomText magnifier and DirectX, we should respect that flag and disable Java2D's use of DGA on Solaris systems.
