When a frame is iconified and then restored the insets temporarily are bogus such that the surface data is replaced. On my XP box the insets become 0, 0, 31, 160 and then bounce back to the right thing. This causes problems with Swing's double buffering as Swing paints while the insets are bogus resulting in the image appearing in the wrong place.
