If entering a longer text (e.g. 50 'a') into a text field with active Japanese
IM in JDK 1.4.2, all the characters are first entered. However, after return is pressed, only the first 31 characters are comitted.
I attach a test case which can be used to reproduce the problem. Please be aware that this test case is very Linux-distribution dependent and will only work as expected under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 and Suse Linux 9.0.
