When a Swing application is running on WinXP platform there are excessive repaints of its UI when the user performs some operation in an application shown on top of it. Simple test is:
start SwingSet2 demo, open a file explorer on top of it, press Ctrl-F over and over and see that the window is repainted every time.

The same behaviour can be observed with NetBeans.
