      A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
      This is a request to extend Java Generics to be first class objects with runtime type information.


      JUSTIFICATION :
      Sun has made the decision to go with erasure rather than making Java Generics first class objects. This RFE allows the Java community to provide feedback on this decision.
