Platform : WinXP Pro
Build: Mustang b32
Location : /java/re/jdk/1.6.0/latest/bundles/windows-i586
Browser : Mozilla1.7/Netscape7.1/FF1.0
Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch jdk-6_0-ea-windows-i586.exe
2. In the "J2SE Runtime Environment - Custom Setup" window, select "Don't install this feature now" for "Default Java for browsers" and then complete the installation.
3. Check <Applet> tag support in JCP:
both boxes are un-checked for IE and MZ/NS
4. Check plugin dll's in the browser plugins dir:
C:/Program Files/mozilla.org/Mozilla/plugins dir is empty
5. However, Java Plug-in is registered in the browser:
Go to Help --> About Plugins
"""application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.6"""
Expected behavior:
Plug-in should not be registered in the browser
6. Open Mozilla1.7/Netscape7.1/FF1.0
Try to launch any games from http://games.yahoo.com
example --> Super Bounce out
Expected result --> the game should fail to load
Actual result --> the game is loaded to start
Note*
The same game is failed to start with IE, which is correct.
None Java applets allowed to load on Mozilla family if Applet tag is disable during JDK installation.
