On windows the USERNAME often by default has a blank in it.

We need to either process the USERNAME to remove the blanks or create a sanity check
that reports that username cannot contain blanks.

      Reported by peabody user:
      > 7. Now, I passed the Sanity Checks, I got a build
      > error that seemed to stem from my username again "My
      > Name". It seems like the scripts don't like
      > whitespace. So from the Window's environment
      > variables. I manually changed:
      >
      > set USERNAME=MyName
      ###@###.### 2005-04-25 19:01:56 GMT
