1. Run the pkgadd command to install the packages:
# pkgadd -d . SUNWj6rt SUNWj6cfg SUNWj6dev SUNWj6dmo SUNWj6jmp SUNWj6man
/usr/jdk dir has been created after installation
# ls -l
total 6
drwxr-xr-x 3 root bin 512 Apr 28 17:43 instances
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 18 Apr 28 17:43 jdk1.6.0 -> instances/jdk1.6.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 8 Apr 28 17:43 latest -> jdk1.6.0
2. Run pkgrm command to uninstall the Solaris packages for JDK 6.0:
# pkgrm SUNWj6cfg SUNWj6dev SUNWj6dmo SUNWj6jmp SUNWj6man SUNWj6rt
/usr/jdk/instances dir is left behind after removing all SUNWj6* packages, but empty.
