javax.script API (JSR 223) and implementation of JavaScript engine is going to be included in Mustang (refer to RFE 6249843). 'jrunscript' is an experimental command line tool (much like jps, jstack etc.) that will be shipped with JDK. This will use javax.script API and provide read-eval-print scripting shell. Users can experiment/explore scripting language(s) and Java classes/objects exposed from the scripting language.
