We have had many people asking where to find the various jmx.remote.* and especially jmx.remote.x.* attributes defined by the JMX Remote API or included in the JDK's implementation of it. The answer is that most of them are detailed in the JSR 160 specification document, but that document requires you to click through a license, and it is a snapshot of the attributes that were defined at a moment in time. (It also contains at least one error.) It would be better if the information were either directly part of the online API documentation, or reachable through a link from that documentation.

The PDF specification no longer requires a click-through license so it is considerably more accessible than before.
