Customer needs to plug security holes in a timely manner. He uses the pkg based install of the JRE and would like to be able to patch the JRE as he does his other pkg based SUN products. He has 2000 systems to update every time there is a security hole or some other situation that causes a need to update the JRE and he cannot expend the time necessary every time to uninstall previous versions and install newer versions. (In the case of security holes, he must uninstall previous versions.) He would like Sun to simplify the update process and provide patches for pkg based Java installs.
