The changing of the mappings between the relative font sizes and absolute font sizes introduced in bug 4992615 creates an incompatibility in applications using JavaHelp that are designed to run on both JRE 5 and JRE 6.
We use the relative font sizes (e.g. "x-small") because it is much cleaner from the A11y perspective (e.g. someone can make the fonts for a whole help set bigger by changing one entry in the help set's CSS).
I'm not disagreeing that the new font mappings are better. But I would like to see a bridge mechanism to make it possible for the same CSS to render the same on both JDK 5 and 6.
