shortcut is not getting created on the desktop with JDS

Tested OS : Solaris 10 (JDS)
Tested Build : 1.5.0_06 build 02

1. Install 1.5.0_06 build 02
2. Clear cache
3. Import notepad application
4. Launch java cache viewer
5. Create shortcut for notepad application
Shortcut is created only in the menu not on the desktop.

Note : Even after logged out and logged in to JDS, shortcut is not available on the desktop
