FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.6.0-ea"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.6.0-ea-b52)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0-ea-b52, mixed mode, sharing)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
When the license agreement window appears during installation, the text of the license appears to be improperly word wrapped. Almost every other line has just one word, which indicates that we are expecting the window to be wider.
The result looks unprofessional, wastes space, and makes the license seem twice as long as reality.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Go to http://download.java.net/jdk6/binaries/
2. Click the link under "Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language JDK file".
3. Run the resulting saved installation file.
4. The license agreement window will appear during installation.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
The word wrapping should make the license agreement appear something like what is at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/j2sdk-1_5_0-netbean-4_0-cobundle-license.txt. There are no one word lines unless a paragraph is terminating.
ACTUAL -
Every other line has one word, presumably because word wrapping is failing.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
