At the moment hinted type1 text in java often looks too tall comparing to native
rasterizers (e.g. freetype). Sometime such stretching causes noticeable glitches.
For instance looking at % char of Type1 helvetica font
(e.g. open Helvetica with Font2DTest on Solaris or Linux) one can see that
upper and lower circles are often of different size.
