      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
      java version "1.5.0_04"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_04-b05, mixed mode, sharing)

      ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
      Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
If in IE on Windows XP SP2,
      1) Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Programs tab -> Click Manage Add-ons button -> Disable all Java Plug-in and Java Console
      2) Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Advance Tab -> Java Plug-in 1.5.0 is enabled
      3) Restart IE and run an applet
      http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

The applet will NOT run even though under the Internet Option -> Advance Tab the JRE is enabled. This creates confusion if Java Plug is shown as enabled but it has been disabled at another place.

Often consumers do NOT check under the Managed Addon to see if Java Plugin has been disabled.

      JUSTIFICATION :
This problem has been reported by Pogo users. This is high impact consumer problem.

      EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
      EXPECTED -
When user attempts to enable Java Plugin under the Advance tab, a warning message should appear to warn user if Java Plugin has been disabled under Manage Addon.
