Sometimes it is relatively costly to construct a Notification for a given event. It would be useful to be able to discover whether the NotificationBroadcasterSupport you are going to send the Notification on has any listeners, and not bother sending if not.

Note that the RMIConnectorServer will add a listener to all MBeans that are NotificationBroadcasters the first time any client adds a listener to any MBean. So this RFE is probably only worth addressing if an alternative to this behaviour is provided.
