When using SplashScreen on Linux/GNOME2.8 desktop there is a taskbar entry displayed containing label 'Java'. This is not consistent with behaviour on WinXP where the splash is shown without any entry in taskbar. Most likely it should be avoided on Linux too. Or there should be a way how to control it at least giving chance to supply the text that will be displayed (typically name of application or something like 'Starting <app>...').
