FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.5.0_05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_05-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_05-b05, mixed mode)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
Swedish keyboard
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
This occurs with both 1.4.2 and 1.5.0.
It is not possible to write the tilde (~) sign from my Swedish keyboard. Note that ¨ and ^ works, but ~ from the same key (also needing space to display)
does not work. I need to create it somewhere else and glue it in to get it.
The ~ sign is crucial for running the statistical system R2.1.0, as it is used in the formula coding as a sign for "as described by" or something like that.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE :
Run the a "Simple NotePad" JNLP demo at http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/apps/notepad.jnlp
Try to write the tilde (~) sign from a Swedish keyboard.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR :
A tilde (~) appears in the NotePad.
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
No tilde (~) appears in the NotePad.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
