Tested Build : 1.6.0-b66
Build Location : /net/koori/onestop/jdk/1.6.0/latest
OS/Machines : DNM-011(winxp professional), windows-64(winxp professional), JITENDER(winxp home), paris2(Linux ADS3.0), jd-sqe01(linux ADS4.0) , moremoney(Linux ADS 3.0)
Problem Description :
It seems that xawt feature is creating problems for applets containing AWT components
inside the mozilla browser on linux Advance server 3.0. Mozilla browser is crashing. If AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit is exported to the running environment everything works fine and also it has been noticed once this variable is exported there is visible difference related to displayed AWT components inside an applet
Steps to reproduce
1) Untar the attached file test_crash.tar
2) Make sure that you have mozilla browser installed and registeres with above mentioned JRE i.e. 1.6.0-b66
3) Execute script test_dtonga.sh as follows
sh test_dtonga.sh <browser_executable>
e.g. sh test_dtonga.sh /root/mz14/mozilla
If the browser crashes(you can look for JVM crash look file hss_err_pid*) then the bug is reproduced
Log files hss_err_pid* containing the crash info has been attached with the bug report. Also attached the emails exchanged with Plug-in developers regarding the problem
