OS: Windows XP_X64 on AMD_64.
Default browser - IE_32bit Version
To reproduce:
1. Add new String value to registry - HKLM/Software/Wow6432Node/JavaSoft called InstallerXmlURL - give this the value of http://javadl-esd.sun.com/update/1.5.0/1.5.0_06-test.xml
2. Lanuch installer for offline sponsor bundle:
/net/jre.sfbay/p/v04/jdk/1.5.0_06-plus/fcs/b02/bundles/windows-i586/jre-1_5_0_06-fcs-bin-b05-windows-i586-p-11_jan_2006-s.exe
3. Observe that both GTB and GDS are offered, GTB checked by default.
4. Check GDS for install.
5. JRE installs, GTB installs, customer sees ugly error message "Google Desktop Search is not supported on this configuration....."
JRE functionality is ok after this.
Although why prompt the customer to install GDS when its not supported.
Something to consider for future updates if not this one.
