The currrent default input style in S. chinese in java is below-the-spot. Most of the native Chinese input methods in windows OS are also in below-the-spot style. However, the look and feel of the input window in java is quite different from native input window. The input window in java works fine when using it to input Chinese, but it gives user some strang feeling as it's not displayed in the usual L&F they are familiar with. Attached are the screen shots of input window in java and some native input windows.
