Using Oxygen XML editor, the Hot key to bring up input method window does not work on RHAS Linux 4.0; however, using the same editor, the hot key works fine on other platforms such as Windows XP.
Steps:
-------
1. Install Oxygen XML editor (http://www.oxygenxml.com) on RHAS Linux 4.0
2. Download InputMethodHotKey.jar from http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/InputMethod/inputmethod.html
3. Install your input method (eg. Copy CityIM.jar in your $JRE/lib/ext - CityIM.jar is downloadable from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/imf/spi-tutorial.html#Sample%20Code)
4. Set the IM hot key by running java -jar InputMethodHotKey.jar (eg. Shift+F5), then click OK (the dialog box disappears)
5. Start Oxygen XML editor, select any file to edit. Then hit "Shift+F5" to bring up the input method menu; however, on RHAS Linux 4.0, the menu does not appear. (The menu appears as expected on other platforms like windows XP).
There was a report that the issues is also seen on Fedora Core 3 on i386 with JDK5.0 (Fedora is not our current supported platform, though)
