OS & HARDWARE
====================
Windows XP Pro amd64 1024 RAM
JAVA VERSION
====================
java version "1.4.2_11"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_11-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.4.2_11-b04, mixed mode)
Steps to reproduce:
VM test procedure docs can be found here:
http://jqa.ireland/procedures/test_procedures/141_test_procedures/vmTests.html
When we use the -XX:+UseParallelGC flag the majority of tests fail with error logs(see attachment)
When the flag is removed the tests pass.
The same behaviour is occuring on x86. See attached log file.
When the parallelGC flag is used for 1.4.2_11b04 on both x86 and AMD64
failures occur. The flag works for 1.5.0_06b05 as expected.
Windows 2003 X86 AMD64
==================================
1.4.2_11b04 fails fails
1.5.0_06b05 passes passes
Are there any logs from the runs other than the hs_err log file?
I'd like to see if anything was printed to std_out or std_err
regarding the failure.
The .err file for each failure is empty. Ive attached the .tlog file which shows the Error thrown by the VM.
