A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
This bug has been reported a lot of times. Please take a look at http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4799499
It shows that the bug is closed, but it isn't fixed in 1.5.0.

      JUSTIFICATION :
The bug actually has been resolved in Mustang, but it is a MUST that the solution be backported to 1.5.0, otherwise keeping users of non-US keyboard layouts unable to use java applications on Unix for production.

      EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
      EXPECTED -
Type the dead key, followed by a space and get the key!
      ACTUAL -
      Nothing happens

      CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
[Alt Gr] + key, but doesn't work for all keys. In my keyboard (BR ABNT2) I can't use ~ any way
