I am showing a volatile image on the screen and I have configured a screensaver (say 3D flower box) to run in 1280x1024x16 mode. The current display mode is 1024x768x32. When the screen saver runs, I move the mouse. desktop gets restored but the volatile image that is shown on the screen gets de-accelerated and never gets accelerated again.

This is reproducible on Tiger as well as Mustang on WinXP with Nvidia GeForce4 MX4000 video card (driver - 6.14.10.8421).

To reproduce the bug, open display settings. Make sure the color depth is set to 32 bit. Go to screen saver tab and configure a screen saver to run on a higher resolution with 16 bit color depth. Run the java application that brings up the vimage. When vimage is shown on the screen, click on the 'preview' button of the screensaver. When the screen saver runs, move the mouse and restore the desktop. You will see that the vimage is de-accelerated and corresponding message is shown on the console.
