DOC: javadocs for ImageInputStreamImpl.read() are missing

      The ImageInputStreamImpl.java file has a missing '*' character at the
      beginning of the javadoc for the abstract read() method definition. This
      is quite unfortunate since it contains critical information that the
      subclass implementor needs to know.
