I have a frame with a textarea added to it, & added a popupmenu to the textarea. When i right click the mouse with out selecting any text & try to travel on the popupmenu , the mouse cursor on the popupmenu remains to the textcursor. Actually this should be default cursor. The same is not noticed, when i select the text in the textarea & invoke the popupmenu on the text itself. This is a correct behaviour. But when i invoke the popupmenu 2 to 3 line away from the selected text, the mouse pointer remains to the text cursor ,which should be a default cursor. This is observed only on windows works fine on solaris.

I checked with the native applications like notepad & wordpad. There the behaviour is correct i,e either the user selects or dn't select the text in the textarea, invoking the popupmenu & travelling on it , the mouse pointer is a default cursor. I would expect the same even in java also.

      Step to Reproduce:-
      ----------------------
      1) Run the attached program.
      2) Type some character .
      3) Selected some characters in the textarea.
      4) Right click on the selected character. You can see a popup menu.
      5) Try moving the mouse on the popupmenu. Observe that mouse pointer is default cursor.Select any mennuitem , so that popupmenu is disappeared.
      6) Dn't select any character in the textarea, Right click on textarea to invoke popupmenu. Try moving the mouse pointer on the popupmenu. Observe that mouse pointer remains to the text cursor, which should be the default cursor. Select any menuitem so that popupmenu is disappeared.
      7) Select some characters in the textarea, move the mouse pointer apart from the selected characters , right click on the textarea to invoke popupmenu , move the mouse pointer on the popupmenu, Observe that mouse pointer remains to the text cursor, which should be the default cursor.

I tested this from Tiger fcs b64 to Mustang b95 & see the same result.
