In jdk6.0 >jre_home>/README.txt there are quite a few files in that are either moved to a different location or re-named. Here is the list.
1) Following files are not in the bundle.
bin\JavaWebStart.dll
bin\jpicpl32.cpl
lib\javaws\miniSplash.jpg
2) Following list of files may have been moved to lib\deploy, need to
update accordingly.
lib\javaws\messages.properties
lib\javaws\messages.properties
lib\javaws\messages_de.properties
lib\javaws\messages_es.properties
lib\javaws\messages_fr.properties
lib\javaws\messages_it.properties
lib\javaws\messages_ja.properties
lib\javaws\messages_ko.properties
lib\javaws\messages_sv.properties
lib\javaws\messages_zh_CN.properties
lib\javaws\messages_zh_HK.properties
lib\javaws\messages_zh_TW.properties
3) Following list of files appear to have been re-named.
bin\NPJava11.dll Replace with npjava11.dll
bin\NPJava12.dll Replace with npjava12.dll
bin\NPJava13.dll Replace with npjava13.dll
bin\NPJava14.dll Replace with npjava14.dll
bin\NPJava32.dll Replace with npjava32.dll
bin\NPOJI610.dll Replace with npoji610.dll
bin\RegUtils.dll Replace with regutils.dll
bin\jpicom32.dll Replace with jpicom.dll
bin\jpiexp32.dll Replace with jpiexp.dll
Outdated security information in <java-home>/README.html too
1) The functionality of ldapsec.jar is now part of rt.jar. ldapsec.jar is
no longer shipped (since tiger).
2) sunpkcs11.jar isn't mentioned.
3) kinit/klist/ktab are gone in all but the windows release.
4) I think jarsigner should be on this list.
5) There should be a website link for the unlimited strength JCE policy files, even just simply pointing to java.sun.com.

Sorry this wasn't clear, it was the in JDK:
/java/re/jdk/1.6/latest/binaries/solaris-sparc/README.html aka
/net/jre.sfbay/p/v06/jdk/6.0/rc/b100/binaries/solaris-sparc/README.html
Source file is:
j2se/src/share/doc/jdk/README.html

The same information needs to be updated in both the jdk and jre
subdirectories under j2se/src/share/doc. One is a .html file, the other is
a .txt file. See below:
===copied from an email I just sent to the RE===
I just discovered there are two places to make the change (jdk/jre), and the jdk one may need to be translated into _ja and _zh_CH. If that's the case, then I don't think this will be happening for mustang.
But something else concerns me: looking the SCCS history for the _ja/_zh_CH files, they may be out of sync with the README right now, the last content sync was October 2005, with some minor broken link problems fixed since. There were several significant changes made in June-Sept 2006 to the English one. I'm hoping those files will be localized, or are no longer shipped.
Anyway, I guess we keep the bug open for now and target to jdk7, unless there's another alternative.
