Applet Compatibility Tests on http://www.pogo.com - Turbo21 & Word Whomp produces the below error message in Java Console when applet is refreshed for 1.5.0_11-b03 on Solaris 9,Mozilla 1.7 . This error is not seen when executed with 1.5.0_11-b01 & 1.5.0_FCS . Though the error is displayed on Java console the functionality of the applet works fine.
Java Console Messages:
For Turbo21 Test Error Message is given below:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.pogo.game.client2.ClientApplet.W(SourceFile)
at com.pogo.game.client2.ClientApplet.destroy(SourceFile)
For Wordwhomp Test Error Message is given below:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.pogo.game.client2.wordwhomp2.WordWhomp2Panel.u(SourceFile)
at com.pogo.game.client2.wordwhomp2.WordWhomp2Panel.b(SourceFile)
at com.pogo.game.client2.wordwhomp2.WordWh
It does not produce exception with 1.5.0_11-b01, does not produce exception with 1.5.0_fcs - but it does with only 1.5.0_11-b03.
Steps to reproduce for Turbo21 test :
1. Install Sun Jre 1.5.0_11-b03 and make sure it registers plugins with browser (Mozilla 1.7).Enable Java Console to display in Java Control Panel.1. Browse to http://www.pogo.com. (pogo.com - Turbo 21)
2. Click on the "Sign In" link at the top of the page.
3. Login as username "applabsuser" and password of "app123"
4. Click on Turbo 21
5. Attempt to refresh the applet.
6. While interacting with applet in the browser check in Java console output.
7. Check for error/warnings in Java Console.

1. Install Sun Jre 1.5.0_11-b03 and make sure it registers plugins with browser (Mozilla 1.7).Enable Java Console to display in Java Control Panel.1. Browse to http://www.pogo.com. (pogo.com - Turbo 21)
2. Click on 'Word Whomp'
3. Pick a room to play in.
4. Review the instructions provided & play the game
5. Attempt to refresh the applet.
6. While interacting with applet in the browser check in Java console output.
7. Check for error/warnings in Java Console.
While refreshing the chat applet window the above said exceptions are thrown in the java console.Functionality is working fine even after the exceptions are thrown.
